September.
Theme of the month:
Violets
In your pack, you will receive a sparkled envelope in the colour violet, enclosed with a bronze wax seal. Inside the envelope, you will find a letter from me written directly to club members, printed on brown recycled kraft paper stamped with The Visual Poetry Club logo.
You will receive an original poem printed onto white, handmade paper made from recycled cotton. Alongside this, an original art or photography print in the theme of the poem.
The colours of packaging, from the envelope to the ribbon, have been selected specifically to match and enhance the monthly theme. This is a physical and sensory way to experience poetry.
PT.I Crown of Violets
This month’s poem is titled: Crown of Violets. It is Part I of a two-part prose series about love, heartbreak, and healing. The colour purple is reoccurring theme that runs throughout the series and this poem focuses on violet flowers as a symbol of a love affair.
